A striking Art Deco Portrait Bust in Bronze, signed and dated ‘J Boedts 1937’. Remarkable quality, shows great patina and presence. The sculptor Jan Boedts was born in Tongeren in 1904 and died on February 4, 1973. He received an artistic training in Maredsous, at the Academies of Liège, Paris and Florence, where he became the first student of master Dante Sodini.
