Pair of constructivist Armchairs in Bouclé & Solid Wengé, 1960's
€5,200.00
DETAILS
A set of two constructivist/modernist armchairs made of a solid wengé wooden frame, Netherlands 1960’s. The chairs are finished with a re-upholstered taupe bouclé fabric. Thanks to the use of geometrical design elements, a boxy and strong look is created while still remaining elegant and rustic in character. The use of horizontal and vertical lines is typical for early modernism and constructivist furniture of this period. Also noteable are design elements comparable to the ‘De Stijl’ movement, established by Gerrit Rietveld in the Netherlands in the early 20th century.
CONDITION
